Salen

Highland

A scattered settlement at the eastern end of the Ardnamurchan peninsula, Salen lies on Salen Bay, an inlet on the north shore of Loch Sunart, 3 miles (5 km) south of Acharacle. Formerly a port of call for Clyde steamers with a pirn factory and an inn, it survived as a fishing resort and boating centre in the 20th century.
