Milton

Highland

A small dormitory settlement in Easter Ross, Milton lies to the north of Nigg Bay, 4 miles (6.5 km) northeast of Invergordon. The village, bypassed by the A9 road in 1991, developed in the 1970s in association with aluminium smelting at Invergordon and North Sea oil-related industries. The village of Kildary lies on the opposite side of the A9, a half-mile (0.8 km) to the north.
