Murkle
HighlandA small settlement on the northern coastline of Caithness district in Highland Council, Murkle lies 3 miles (5 km) east of Thurso and overlooks Murkle Bay to the north and Dunnet Bay to the northeast. There was a US Navy Communications Station here from 1963 until 1992, with numerous masts and a golf-ball style dome.
