Kingsburgh Highland A scattered hamlet on the west coast of the Trotternish Peninsula of Skye, Kingsburgh overlooks Loch Snizort Beag 5½ miles (9 km) south of Uig. Flora MacDonald (1722-90), who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape after his defeat at Culloden, settled in Kingsburgh in 1779 and lived out the remainder of her life here.
