A location on the Black Isle (Highland Council Area), Knockbain lies in a parish of the same name 2½ miles (4 km) northwest of Munlochy. The location comprises Knockbain, Upper Knockbain, Knockbain Mains and West Knockbain Wood. The Old Parish Church (built 1754, abandoned 1933) lies next to Knockbain House a half-mile (1 km) south of Munlochy.
