Embo Street

A small linear hamlet in SE Sutherland, Embo Street is situated 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Embo and a similar distance north of Dornoch. A Forestry Commission district office and tree nursery are located here. An ancient cist, containing a beaker, several arrowheads and various other items, was discovered on the Forestry Commission's land during ploughing operations in 1979.
