Corpach
Highland

A village in Lochaber, Highland Council Area, Corpach lies at the southwestern end of the Caledonian Canal and at the head of Loch Linnhe, 2 miles (3 km) north of Fort William. A pulp mill operated here between 1965 and 1980 and a paper mill was established in 1966, but closed in 2005. Timber is exported from Corpach and this activity is expanding to take over the premises of the former paper mill. The 'Treasures of the Earth' Visitor Centre featuring gemstones and geology opened here in 1995.
