An eastern suburb of Glasgow, Springboig lies to the north of Shettleston and east of Carntyne. It comprises late 19th-century terraced and semi-detached housing and postwar three storey tenements which have been inspired by German and Viennese styles. Lightburn Hospital and Greenfield Park lie to the south of the Edinburgh Road.
