Achiltibuie

A linear settlement of the Ross and Cromarty district of Highland Council Area, the crofting township of Achiltibuie lies on the west coast of Badentarbat Bay and overlooks the Summer Isles to the west. Located 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Ullapool and west of the mountains of Coigach, Achiltibuie is a centre of fishing, hill-walking and tourism. The Summer Isles Hotel is noted for producing much of its own vegetables in a hydroponicum without soil.
