Fife

A small settlement in east central Fife, Struthers lies 3 miles (5 km) south of Cupar on the A 916 road from Kennoway to Cupar. Ruined Struthers Castle dates from the 14th Century and was associated with the Ochter-Struthers family, the Keiths who were Grand Marischals of Scotland, the Lindsays and the Crawfords. In 1633 the title of Lord Struthers was given to the first Earl of Lindsay by Charles I who is said to have been entertained at Struthers.
