Avonbridge

A village of Falkirk Council Area, Avonbridge lies 3 miles (5 km) east of Slamannan. The settlement takes its name from its position as a crossing point of the River Avon. Avondale developed in association with mills and the quarrying of stone. It has opencast coal workings to the north.
