Creca

Dumfries and Galloway

A hamlet of Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway, Creca lies between the River Annan and the Kirtle Water, 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Annan. RAF Annan, a World War II fighter-training airfield, lay to the west and many of the buildings were associated with that facility. The Chapelcross Nuclear Power Station was built on part of the former airbase, a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Creca, in the 1950s.
