A village with a single street of 18th and 19th-century houses in a parish of the same name in Dumfries and Galloway, New Luce lies at the junction of the Water of Luce with the Cross or Main Water of Luce, 5 miles (8 km) north of Glenluce. Its parish church dates from 1821.
