Kettleholm

Dumfries and Galloway

A hamlet of Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway, Kettleholm lies on the Water of Milk, 3 miles (5 km) south of Lockerbie. It was built in the 19th Century as an estate village for Castlemilk. Its neat village hall dates from 1908 and St Mungo Parish Church dating from 1875 was designed by the architect David Bryce. There are the remains of two earlier parish churches nearby, the earliest at Kirklands with a churchyard containing interesting tombstones.
