Kirkpatrick Durham
Dumfries and Galloway

A village of Dumfries and Galloway, Kirkpatrick Durham lies 6 miles (10 km) north of Castle Douglas. It was founded in 1783 by the Rev David Lamont, minister of the parish of Kirkpatrick Durham, who used a legacy to buy land that could be feued on good terms to handloom weavers. The village comprises two streets of one and two-storey houses.
