A locality centred on an upland sheep farm in Central Stirling, Letter is located on the lower slopes of Letter Hill 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Port of Menteith. Letter Muir and the tiny Loch Letter lie to the east; much of the former is planted with trees to form the Letter Forest.
