A small residential village in Falkirk Council area, situated to the south of the Carriden burn, immediately east of Bo'ness. Built in the 1860s by Admiral Sir James Hope (1808-81) as a model village for workers on the Carriden House Estate, the original cottages were designated a Conservation Area in 1975. Little Carriden to the north comprises a section of cottage-style local authority housing and close by are Carriden House and the sites of a Roman camp and fort.
