A locality in Eskdale in NE Dumfries and Galloway, Fingland lies on the White Esk, 18 miles (29 km) northwest of Langholm. There is a small farm called Fingland, while Fingland Hill forms the southern shoulder of Watch Craig and Fingland Bridge crosses the White Esk to the south. The Fingland Burn falls into the White Esk a further half-mile (0.8 km) to the south, opposite the Eskdalemuir Observatory.
