Castle O'er

A hamlet of E Dumfries and Galloway, Castle O'er (also Castle Over or Castle Overbie) lies in the heart of the Castle O'er Forest near the junction of the White and Black Esk, 9 miles (14 km) northwest of Langholm in Eskdale. An Iron-Age hill fort near here dates from the 1st millennium BC.
