Stobo
Scottish BordersA hamlet in Tweeddale, Stobo lies in a parish of the same name 5 miles (8 km) west of Peebles on the B712 road to Drumelzier. There was an early Celtic church at Stobo and Stobo Castle, now a residential health resort, was built for the Montgomery family in 1805-11 to a design by J. & A. Elliot.
