A former small and isolated settlement in the North Mainland of Shetland, the site of Calback now lies within the perimeter of the Sullom Voe Terminal, a mile (1.4 km) northwest of Garth House. There was once and ancient chapel and burial ground here. The Loch of Calback was infilled to allow the building of the terminal, while Calback Ness lies 1¼ miles (2 km) to the north.
