A farm and hill in W Galloway, Knockishee is located 3¾ miles (6 km) east northeast of Glenluce. The hill is a drumlin deposited beneath a glacier, with its principal axis aligned SSW-NNE reflecting the direction of ice flow. Its summit rises to just beyond 115m (377 feet) while the A75 Trunk Road cuts through its southern slopes.
