A village of Argyll and Bute, Ardentinny lies near the mouth of Glen Finart on the western shore of Loch Long, 4 miles (7 km) north of Strone Point. Stronchullin Hill rises to the southwest of the village. An outdoor centre is located at the village, but the primary school here closed in 1997.
