Ballevain (Ballivain, Balivean)
Argyll and ButeSituated at the northern end of Machrihanish Bay, on the west coast of the Kintyre peninsula of Argyll and Bute Council Area, Ballevain (also Ballivain or Balivean) lies 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Campbeltown. There are farms at Low Ballevain and High Ballevain, separated by a half-mile (1 km).
