A village in southeast Aberdeenshire, Fetteresso is situated on the Carron Water just over a mile (1.5 km) west of Stonehaven from which it is separated by the A90 trunk road to Aberdeen. Fetteresso Castle, rebuilt in the 1830s, was once the seat of the Earls Marischal of Scotland.
