Bullers of Buchan

(Bullers o' Buchan)
Aberdeenshire

A small clifftop settlement situated close to the A975 road 1½ miles (2.5 km) northeast of Cruden Bay in Aberdeenshire, the Bullers of Buchan (or Bullers o' Buchan) takes its name from the famous coastal granite cliff feature nearby. It comprises three rows of cottages which once provided homes to fishermen who descended the steep cliffs to the little cove where they were able to beach their boats.
