A village in an Angus parish of the same name, Inverkeilor lies on the Lunan Water, 6 miles (10 km) north of Arbroath. Its asymmetrical church with a row of carved stone coats-of-arms has a kirkyard containing the ornate tombs of the Carnegie, Bruce-Gardyne, Lindsay, Raitt and Ramsay families.
