Lundie

Angus

A small hamlet in an Angus parish of the same name, Lundie lies in the Sidlaw Hills, 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Dundee. Largely altered in 1786, the parish church was originally erected in the 12th century by the Durward family who dedicated it to St Lawrence the Martyr. Its kirkyard is the burial place of the Duncans of Lundie who eventually became the earls of Camperdown.
