A location in Angus, Kirkbuddo is centred around a crossroads, 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Forfar. To the west lies Kirkbuddo House and at Haerfaulds on the Muir of Lour are traces of a Roman marching camp occupied during the Severan campaigns of 209-11 AD.
