Achallader


Argyll and Bute

Located on a tributary of the Water of Tulla, Achallader is a location in Argyll and Bute is situated 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Bridge of Orchy. Loch Tulla lies a mile (1.5 km) to the southwest while a similar distance to the southeast is the peak of Beinn Achaladair. Black Duncan of Cowal, one of the Campbells of Glenorchy, built one of his seven castles here, the remains of which can still be seen next to Achallader Farm.
