Situated 4 miles (6 .5 km) south of Brodick on the island of Arran within North Ayrshire, the village of Lamlash is popular with holiday makers; the deep harbour provides good protection for boats, shielded as it is from the Firth of Clyde by Holy Isle. The Derwent shipwreck from 1880 lies in the bay and can be visited by divers.
