Garmouth (Garmouth Kingston)
Moray

The village of Garmouth is located on the western banks of the mouth of the River Spey in Moray Council Area. Situated 8 miles (12 km) east of Elgin, Garmouth is linked to the village of Kingston, which lies directly to the north. Founded by the Innes family as a fishing centre and timber export port, it was here that Charles II returned from exile in 1650.
