Foulshiels
Scottish BordersFoulshiels, birthplace of Mungo Park

A location in the Scottish Borders, Foulshiels lies on the Yarrow Water, 3 miles (5 km) west of Selkirk. It was the birthplace in 1771 of Mungo Park, the explorer of Africa, and a monument on ruined cottages here commemorates that fact.
