Ashiestiel
Scottish Borders

A location in the Ettrick district of the Scottish Borders, Ashiestiel lies on the south side of the River Tweed, 4 miles (6.5 km) east of Innerleithen. Ashiestiel House was the home of Sir Walter Scott before he moved to Abbotsford in 1811. To the southwest Ashiestiel Hill rises to 402m (1319 feet).
