Achmore

Stirling

A location in Stirling Council Area, Achmore lies at the west end of Loch Tay, a mile to the east of Killin. Queen Victoria is said to have rowed up to it from Taymouth at the east end of the loch in 1842 and in 1873 the Earl of Breadalbane converted 'a nice little cottage' here into the more stately Achmore House.
