Located on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, the crofting township of Sandwick (Gael: Sanndabhaig) lies a mile (1.5 km) east southeast of Stornoway. Lower Sandwick lies around Stornoway Harbour, while the larger part of the village is strung out along the arms of a cross-roads a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the northeast. Stornoway Airport lies a mile (1.5 km) further to the northeast.
