Elwick
Orkney

The chief anchorage of the island of Shapinsay in the Orkney Isles, the village of Elwick lies at the head of Elwick Bay on the southern coast of the island. There is a ferry link with Kirkwall from here and nearby is the Scottish baronial style Balfour Castle, built in 1848 by John Balfour of Trenabie on Westray to a design by the architect David Bryce.
