Laxdale (Lacasdail, Lacasdal)
Western IslesA village of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Laxdale (Gael: Lacasdail or Lacasdal) lies immediately to the north of Stornoway and at the head of the River Laxdale estuary. To the east lie the Nelbost Sands and Loch a'Tuath. Laxdale benefits from a sizeable primary school.
