Achavanich


Highland

A small settlement in Caithness, Highland Council area, Achavanich lies at a road junction 6 miles (10 km) north of Latheron and to the west of Stemster Hill. A school here once served children from the surrounding crofts and a rare U-shaped setting of 36 Neolithic standing stones lies to the east of the road.
