Marchburn

(Craigammin)
Dumfries and Galloway

A location on the east shore of Loch Ryan in Dumfries and Galloway, Marchburn lies on the left bank of the Galloway Burn, which forms the boundary with South Ayrshire, 2 miles (3 km) north of Cairnryan. The name would appear to be a recent one, having been recorded on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (1849) as Craigammin.
