Tighnabruaich
Argyll and Bute

A resort village on the Cowal peninsula, Tighnabruaich lies on the west shore of the Kyles of Bute, 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the entrance to Loch Riddon. Developed in the 19th century as a village with a pier and marine villas, it has now become a popular centre for pleasure sailing and yachtbuilding. Specialist foods and liqueurs are produced locally. With its wooded setting to the north, spectacular views of the Kyles of Bute and islands of the Firth of Clyde are offered from a National Trust for Scotland viewpoint.
