Ardmore (Ardmhor, Aird Mohr)

A location and scattered hamlet on the northeast coast of the island of Barra in the Western Isles, Ardmore (also Ardmohr, Gael: Aird Mhor) is the point of departure for a car ferry to Eriskay. From 2002, a new pier permitted the development of a short ferry crossing across the Sound of Barra which runs regularly seven days per week throughout the year.
