Heck

Dumfries and Galloway

A hamlet of E Central Dumfries and Galloway, Heck lies 2 miles (3 km) south southeast of Lochmaben and a mile (1.5 km) north of Hightae. Lochmaben Castle Loch lies a half-mile (1 km) to the northwest and the River Annan a similar distance to the east. Along with Hightae, Smallholm and Greenhill, Heck is one of the Royal Four Towns of Lochmaben.
