A sizeable settlement of SW Angus, Piperdam was constructed from 1998 as a green-field housing development associated with Piperdam Golf and Country Park, 4½ miles (7 km) northwest of Dundee. Comprising large detached houses for marketed at commuting professionals, Piperdam has no dedicated facilities beyond the golf club-house and lodge with its health club and restaurant.
