Achmore (Acha Mòr)
Western IslesA village in central Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Achmore (Gael: Achadh Mor) lies 7 miles (11 km) to the west southwest of Stornoway on the road to Carloway and Callanish. Nearby is the site of an ancient stone circle with a radius of 41m (135 feet) first uncovered by peat cutting in the 1930s.
