Glassel
Aberdeenshire

A location, estate and former station in Royal Deeside (Aberdeenshire), Glassel lies 2½ miles (4 km) southeast of Torphins and 4 miles (6.5 km) northwest of Banchory. The station lay on the Deeside Railway, which opened in 1859 and closed in 1966. The estate is owned by Moir Lockhead (b. 1945) Chairman and founder of transport company First Group.
