A hamlet located on the left bank of the River Urie, to the north of the A96 trunk road, in the Garioch district of Central Aberdeenshire, Whiteford lies a half-mile (0.8 km) north of Pitcaple and 4½ miles (7 km) northwest of Inverurie.
