A location on the Gannochy Estate in Glen Esk (Angus), Auchmull is located 3½ miles (5.5 km) north northwest of Edzell. A sporting lodge here was subject to an imaginative refurbishment which won the Angus Design Awards in 2008. The refurbishment included the extension to the lodge house to create a library and the conversion of a steading to provide self-catering accommodation for holiday and sporting lets, together with living space for trainee gamekeepers. The Burn of Auchmull Burn flows by to fall into the River North Esk a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the southwest.
