Rutherford

Scottish Borders

The small hamlet of Rutherford lies 6 miles (10 km) southwest of Kelso in the Scottish Borders, to the south of the River Tweed. Just to the north of the settlement was a station on the Kelso Branch of the North British Railway, which opened in 1850 and closed in 1968. The station platform remains.
