A small settlement at the centre of a parish of the same name in East Dunbartonshire, Baldernock is located a mile (1.5 km) north northwest of Bardowie and 1¼ miles (2 km) east northeast of Milngavie. The parish church dates from 1795 although there is said to have been a church on this site since at least 1236. A war memorial sits opposite. Baldernock House began as the manse for the free church in 1848.
